My mom: Awww, but I wanted a girl. (Well you have two daughters get over it)
Ekg Tech: Well my daughter is blessed cause she has one of each. (Guess I'm cursed then?)
Stranger in the elevator: We got lucky, we have one of each. (Not only am I cursed, I'm unlucky too? Great).
Stranger in a different elevator: What are you having? I told her a boy. She asked, "Another boy?" I said, "yep!" which was met with dead silence.
This is why i avoid talking to strangers.
Re: "Interesting" responses to having 2 boys
What the heck! People are so weird. Thankfully, all I ever hear is something along the lines of "Oh they'll be best friends!"
This is one reason I think if we have another one I won't find out the sex. You need a positive response:
Yay! Boys are SO fun, and now your son will have a little buddy!
Well allow me to counter their opinions - you are so blessed and lucky to be having 2 boys. It is absolutely the best, I love it!
Seriously - my little guys crack me up, they are so fun together. I am sure that a boy and girl would be fab too, but I wouldn't have it any othe way!

My blog * We made the national news!
I wonder what they would say if they knew I am *hoping* our next is a boy!!!
I think it's wonderful!
People are idiots. Why do some people assume you must want a boy and a girl if you're having more than one child?
I'd love to have two boys! How fun!
Depending on the day, I would be able to brush it off, or I'd be totally a B*tch about it. "Yeah, when we found out, I gave serious consideration to jumping off the roof" (::insert big eyeroll::, so people know I'm sarcastic and not actually suicidal)
I think you're lucky and blessed.
I am sooo with you in a different way.
People keep calling DD a boy ever since she got her glasses. She was a freaking dress and tights. Then they tell me I have to put bows in her hair if I want to avoid that ummm no.
The glasses too. How do you keep them o, my kid won't keep their sunglasses on...well um she can't see without them your kid can see without sunglasses.
I think a lot of people just do.not.think before they speak.
people are so weird! they thought i was weird for being happy with a boy the first time around, and now they say, "awww you got your pair!!" like that's something everyone has to have?
they just need something to say i guess.
I'm having another boy as well and I've gotten some bizarre comments too. More annoying than offensive.
When I told one of my paralegals he responded with, "You're screwed!" I had to laugh. I asked why and he told me that because they're going to get in so much trouble together when they're teenagers. LOL. I'm not worried... my boys could never get into any type of trouble!
I love being a mom to a boy and I'm thrilled that we're having another.
All this time I thought i was lucky for having 2 girls which meant i could save money and use DD1's stuff...and now I find out that i am not lucky for having to children of the same gender!
People ask me and would tell me after i found out that DD2 was a girl..."now you'll just have to try for that boy"....or "will yall try for a boy".... if we do or dont' is no business of yours people!
and after boy #2 is born, they will start asking, "Are you going to try for a girl?"
my boys are fun and crazy, i wouldnt want it any other way

I always got the "now you will just have to try for a girl"
I understand.
love my boys! and i'm not trying for that girl
I get crazy responses to having two girls. Some of the gems are:
Your husband will be poor.
Teenage years will suck.
I also get the "they are blessed because they have one of each".
Also why I avoid talking to strangers. I am excited for DD to have a sister. I loved having my sister close in age when I was growing up...and now too.
