Hi Ladies,
DH and I are interested in learning more about attachment parenting. We're definitely going try to breastfeed exclusively, and the baby will sleep in our room (but not in our bed because we only have a full-sized bed). We're interested in becoming more educated about the baby wearing and all the other stuff. TIA!
Re: Recommend your favorite AP book!
I would get The Baby Book by Sear and Sears to start. It goes over attachment parenting and is written from that perspective and is also like a baby user manual; how the deal with diaper rash, how to start solids, how to trouble shoot BFing... A very helpful book that even has a section for dads.
The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding is also good and quite AP. Its put out by La Leche League.
The Baby Bond by Dr. Linda Palmer. Very educational. I love it.
The Baby Book is wonderful. I keep it next to my bed for any kind of middle of the night search/question, plus it gives games/activities/AP advice. Best book ever. It's totally going to be my shower gift from now on. Plus, the other Sears books are great.
So that's what they're for. (BFing)
