Q about 1st Birthday party w/ all family guests

do I need to set a clear end time? I'm getting ready to send the invites out and we want it to run 3-6, but if everyone's having fun, I don't necessarily want them to leave at 6, but I don't want them lingering until 9 pm either.

We just put a start time on ours. Maybe if it's getting too late and you start to clear away dishes and clean up they will get the hint?

I left her party open ended, but people didn't stay long anyway. 3-4 hours, tops.

We didn't indicate an end time on the invite. People started filtering out soon after the gifts were opened. We had DS's party at home on a Sunday. It started at 1:30pm, and everyone was gone by 5pm.

It depends on how your family is, lol. If they are the lingering type, then I'd put an end time. We left it open ended but we are also having friends from OOT stay with us. It's going to be an all day/night event for us!
