Clicky Poll: Cord Blood

I know this is discussed a lot.. but I was curious to see if people end up banking the cord blood or passing... DH and I are still torn.. [Poll]

    what a great feeling when you're the first one on a clicky poll and you look down and see that 100% of people agree with you...then you realize that you're the only vote on there.

    We didn't bank it - it's generally not recommended because the costs outweigh the risks so greatly. 

    Also, most hospitals have a policy against donating cord blood of multiples because there's a potential problem for mixing them up somehow (I don't understand the science of it - sorry I don't have a better explanation).

    FWIW - we donated Griffin's and tried to donate the twins- but they don't take from twins for donations b/c they can't get enough to be worth it... yet, they'll gladly take your money to bank "not enough" if you want to pay them- i think that is just WRONG.

    We were going to donate but told they don't take twins at our hospital.

    We would have donated but our hospital does allow donating for twins.  Something about not sure they will get enough blood from the cord to make it worth it... IDK.
