I have a question about poop...

My lil' man has diarrhea.  He has been eating solids for awhile now.. he has done fine on everything so far.  3 days ago he ate peaches for the first time for breakfast and he has had diarrhea ever since.  He only ate them that one time and I would think that if those were what caused it he'd be fine now.. maybe not but that's my logic.  Or, I know there is controversy about teething causing diarrhea or not but he has also been super drooly.. more than usual and is constantly chewing on something.  But then again he usually is.  Or, it could possibly be a stomach virus?  He has diarrhea all day.  Just a little bit in each diaper that ranges from watery to a little thicker and his little bum is raw and crys when it is wiped so I pat it and let him "free ball" it for awhile.  I also have been using creams but tonight used a medicated powder because I think it might need to dry out.  So basicall my question is any other thoughts, suggestions or ideas from anyone else?

  • I don't know, but I think if it was the peaches it would definitely be gone by now.  Does he have a fever??  I would just watch him, and if it goes on much longer just call the dr.  Does he seem sick?  I don't know if this helps you but my dd has been knawing on her hands like crazy, has had some diarrhea and is not on any solids and I was considering the teething thing too.  My mom said that it happened with all four of us...I am watching her a few more days.  She is having normal wet diapers and is totally fine...so I don't think hers is a virus either.
