I have a friend who lives in Florida and she's having a baby shower
next month. She's due in March. I'd like to buy her a Moby, but am torn
on which one to get her. I was thinking maybe the UV one since she
lives in FL and will probably use it a lot during the summer, but
haven't really heard reviews on that particular one. It only comes in a
few colors though. What do you all think, UV or regular?[Poll]
Re: Which Moby?
If she lives in Florida, she might get more use out of a thinner wrap - the moby is pretty hot! Loveyduds on etsy.com sells moby like wraps that I believe are thinner. The BaliBaby Stretch would be another option. You could do a gauze wrap as well - like the BaliBaby Breeze; there are also etsy sellers that have them. You could also go with a lightweight woven wrap (I have info on those in my siggy).
The Moby is great for newborns but horrid for warm weather - I found it too warm for me in Jan for wearing for long periods as you do with a newborn.

I agree with p.p.s--
I have a moby with UV, but it saw very little sunlight-- it was just too hot to wear outside unless it was early morning or evening (and honestly, not too comfortable even then). I would much rather have had a moby in a pretty color to wear indoors.
