I'm kind of down that we are staying home for both holidays instead of going to see my family, so I decided to try to decorate the house a bit to try to get more into the spirit. (I know I am getting a late start.) I've never had any Thanksgiving linens so I decided to run over to the mall, get some dishtowels and take DS to the play place to wear him out. Got some new dishtowels at Williams-Sonoma and then went over to the playplace. Almost every woman had either a nice round pregnant belly or a beautiful new baby to go with their original kiddo. I got a huge case of jealousy even though I have a wonderful DS.
I'm feeling kind of bad about that.
But now I put out the new towels and seeing the matching turkeys hanging there makes me feel strangely better. I won't have any family, and I won't have a BFP, but I have two turkeys that I'll have for years to come. Gobble Gobble.
Re: Got new dishtowels to cheer myself up
Strunella,
I'll have to let you know how long the turkey effect lasts. I think at Christmas I might have to pull out the big guns and get shoes. Or designer jeans. My last ones were Old Navy and they didn't help at all.
