I will have beer.....I'm not much of a wine/champagne drinker. My lactation consultant said that a beer takes 1 hour to not be in breast milk, so I can have a beer every once in while and plan on taking advantage of it.
I will. My BFF is already planning on bringing DH and I a bottle of wine the day after she is born (Like we did for them). The 4 of us will enjoy a glass together.
DH is bringing me my favorite beer. I can't wait. I will also have the celebratory dinner for two, DH and I will have filet mignon and lobster tail as well as champagne too. And I can't wait for Thanksgiving because I will have the Beaujolais Neavou with my Turkey that my mother in law will either bring to my house if I am home, or to the hosptial if we have to spend one more night.

I will right when I get home. If its offered at the hospital I will have it but I don't think they do. I will at the hospital have a GIANT dunkin donuts coffee!
I will have some of the wine we picked up on our anniversary trip to Hawaii.....Pineapple wine. Plus, my DH has saved one bottle of Guiness 250 for me.

DH has already been instructed to bring me a beer and a spicy tuna roll. I plan to have chopsticks in one hand and baby in the other very shortly after delivery.

I will, some of the hospitals here back in the day used to do the dinner and champagne, but I also heard that beer helps let your milk let down. Maybe old wives tale.
We bought two nice bottles of champagne during our last trip to Napa with the intent of enjoying one together to celebrate the birth of our first child, we got pregnant a couple weeks later! We also have some nice bottles of wine from our trip to Tuscany a couple years ago. DH keeps teasing that he'll open one up now but he knows he'll die if he does, lol.
I;ve been told that in the very early stages of labour when you need to rest the midwife sometimes recommend a glass of wine and a bath so I"m hoping I get that BEFORE delivery!
Me!! We bought a bottle of champagne when I was pregnant the first time for that very reason. We still have it and will hopefully be able to actually drink it in March.

Hehe! I should totally tell my DH that he has to bring me an Ahi Tower from Blue Fish for lunch one day, lol! I'm having a c-section, so I know I'll be there a while and won't likely be smuggling in any booze, but an Ahi Tower sounds delish!
DH and I most definitely will! He brought in a nice bottle of wine to the hospital the night after DD was born that we had with our "nice" dinner. It was so good! (not that I had the whole bottle, but just the glass or two were perfect)

Re: Who will ACTUALLY have wine or champagne after delivery?
As long as I'm not too drugged up, I'm having a glass of wine. It's on my birthplan.
