I know we are all just praying for a healthy and happy little one but if you had your choice would you want a boy or a girl.
I have to say I have a DD right now. She s the best thing in the world and I am very close with my two sisters so I always wanted for her to have a sister. She will be almost 4 years older then this baby.
Dh really wants a boy but I don't know I guess I am worried about the unknown because I have never had a boy at least i know sort of what to expect from a girl (I know every child is different)
I am really hoping for another girl
Re: If you had your choice would you want a boy or a girl
Honestly, I wouldn't want a choice. I like not knowing, and unable to control it. There are very few happy/good surprises left in life...I like that this can be one.
(sorry if that's a cop-out answer.)
We have our DS and I really want a DD but honestly, I wouldn't be upset if we had another boy. DH will be happy.
We decided that if we biologically did not have a girl, we'd try adoption. I've always wanted at least one of each and I have always wanted to adopt at least one.
a big part of me says girl...the one that wants to watch Tinkerbell movies with her and play dress up and make her feel like a princess everyday.
then another part says boy...I went to a psychic medium in February to reconnect with my Dad, and she said that he was standing there holding my son, who would come to us in 8 months. 8 months later, we found out I was pg. Weird...just waiting to see if it's true. (and it's feeding into the "I bet it's a girl" thing as well cause I don't really believe in psychics)
DH and I both are hoping for a boy. We have 4 nieces, and the 3 couples we're friends with that have kids all have girls (4 girls total). I think it would be awesome to have the only little man.
That being said, I do have a great relationship with my mom so I would be excited about a girl to have that relationship with.
I want a girl and DH wants a boy.
I guess I do hope its a boy too though bc this pregnancy happened earlier than we planned and DH is quite the nervous dad-to-be. A boy would ease his worries and he'd be even more excited to have a DS. Does that make any sense?

Either...but I know that if we have a boy first the chances of having a girl the next time is slim...to much testosterone in DH's family....
So secretly hoping for a girl first
I already have a son, so i would like a girl... but as long as it is healthy it really doesnt matter...
I also met with a psychic over the summer... he had no idea i already had a child and said i would have a son and then TWIN girls!!! Oh my, that would be a suprise on my ultrasound date!

Girl!
Both DH and I want a girl first, although we hate admitting it. We both think we'd be quite pleased with a boy too. I get really annoyed with people (no one here, just people in general) who think girls are hard? Since when? I had two younger brothers and my parents always talk (perhaps too much) that I was by far the easiest to raise and most responsible of their offspring.
Boys have their pluses, but I was the oldest in my family, and DH has an older sister. We generally like the dynamic.
