So my husband that originally wanted to name our son Jack has now come up with the name Niner. I'm sure it's because he's a huge San Fransico 49ers fan. I'm actually not completely against the name and think it sounds kinda cool. It would be original but the same time not many people are naming their children with very original names anymore so I don't think he would stand out too bad. WDYT?

Re: WDYT of the name Niner
NMS, reminds me of Tommy Boy.
Tommy: Two, four, niner, five, six, seven...
Richard Hayden: I can't hear you, you're trailing off and did I catch a niner in there? Were you calling from a walkie-talkie?

this. I am all for an original name, but Niner is not a name...
This is what I thought.
Sorry, but I'm afraid your LO would have a lot of fun poked at him.

Um, yeah...my DH wanted "Dallas Shea" for our LO (boy OR girl), so I can empathize with your concern. At least he came up with that before they built Citi Field....Dallas Citi would've been worse!
Still, I don't think I'd go for Niner. I always consider that kids can be cruel....Sooner or later someone will change it to "Nooner", or something.
THIS!!! lol I was going to post the exact same thing!
My first thoughts
Well... not a fan, sorry...
