Does LO ever "stand" on your lap?

DS never pushes off on his legs when I stand him up. I remember nannying for my little cousins they seemed to do this constantly, but he isnt interested. He kind of will straighten them for a second but then he just lets them crumple and sits down on my lap. Does your LO try to "stand" yet?

he's been doing it since he came home from the hospital. he LOVES to stand. will cry if you try to make him sit. he's kinda nuts like that.

yes, DS does this all the time and loves to jump. He's been doing it for a while and it's hard to keep a hold of him.

DS has been trying to stand for about 2 months now, he's really into it now. Sometimes you can't even get him to bend his legs to sit! I swear this kid is going to run before he does anything else.

Yeah, he tries to stand all the time. If he's laying on my lap, all i have to do is grab his hands and he pulls himself all the way up.

mine does the same thing yours does. then this weekend, i saw a friend's baby (who's 4 months) and literally all she wants to do is stand - not lie down or sit. my friend is going crazy b/c of it, so i'm kind of glad my LO isn't to that stage yet!

Here is another time when mine are completely different...

A loves to stand, hates to sit.

L loves to sit and has no interest in standing. His legs always "crumble" when we try.

I think DD would be content standing all day long... but that's just the way she's been since I can remember. All LOs have different preferences, so it's nothing to worry about.

My boy was pushing off the bottom of the bassinet in the hospital with his feet, and now at 10 weeks I think he's half kangeroo. He just wants to stand on my legs and hop all day to music. He's not really into any toys... just hopping in people's laps. Whatever the wrist equivalent of cankles are, I have them.

All the time! In fact, LO doesn't like to sit down. He's been bearing weight on his legs since about two months. Not because I make him, but because he seems to like this.
