Anyone else NOT talked baby names w/ DH yet?

Just wondering if we were strange -- DH and I have not started discussing names yet. I think it's because we both know that it's going to be quite the battle! He will be insisting that we name LO after his parents (his family tradition) and I'm going to put my foot down since I really dislike those names.

I'm hoping we can delay the discussion until after the holidays, there's enough going on until then!

Anyone else waiting to start the baby name talk?

Oh trust me, we did too! We've been together almost 9 years...just never been resolved.

We have discussed a name or two but we haven't spoken seriously about it. We have the same taste in names and the same ideas as far as if we want to name our DD after a family member so I know that it wont be a battle. We want to go into the hospital with a few names and then choose after she is born. Everyone looks at us like us funny when we tell them we haven't really thought about her name.

We have talked about it and we both agree on Elijah for a boy but cannot agree on a girl name yet. I have my heart set on Annabel for a girl, and he says it's "ok" or "I don't know about Annabel." He likes boyish names for girls, but I am a very girly girl and that's not gonna happen haha! Anyway, I am not letting go of Annabel, I just hope if it is a girl, I can convince him! Good luck!

We have a very long list of names accumulated over the past three years but we haven't even begun to whittle them down yet. We're waiting until after our big u/s so we can at least cut the list down by half.

Nope. We wont name the baby till we see it. We did that with both our girls as well. We have no names we like right now.

We're waiting until after the big u/s so we can focus mostly on one gender (of course we'll have backups just incase!) I also plan on having 2 or 3 ready and not really choosing until baby is born. People keep asking about names and it's annoying already. I almost don't want to share because I know everyone will choose which one they like and start calling the kid that.
