I have been soooo itchy lately. Especially my boobs, but my arms, legs, back, and belly also. Really everywhere. There's no redness or bumps. Anyone else have this symptom?
YES! It's relentless. My DH is sick of scratching me. My back, boobs, belly, arms, legs, its terrible....Lotion is not my favorite thing in the world. My doc told me less hot showers, patting myself dry after. Nothing seems to help though.
I'd love a fellow bumpie to give me a solution that works!!!
I hope not. There's no bumps or anything...just general itchiness. I thought that started in the 3rd trimester. I'm going to my doc either tomorrow or Tuesday so I'm going to ask him.
I've had dry, itchy skin my entire life (along with eczema and multiple skin allergies) so there's a few things you can do. Lotion is a must. The best time to put it on is right after you dry off from your shower, your skin will absorb much better.
The hotter the shower, the less moisture your skin holds, so try and take cooler showers. (I still take hot showers, but I just have to put lotion on after every single time.) Look for lotions with vitamin E or shea butter or cocoa butter so they'll stay in longer. I use Jergens with Shea Butter, and it feels nice and smells nice too
Body butters are thicker and will last longer if you don't want to reapply lotion every day. Try and avoid stuff that has a lot of fragrance, because the alcohol in the fragrance will cancel out some of the moisturizing properties.
DRINK WATER. My doctor told me I need to be drinking about a gallon a day right now, and if you're not drinking enough, your skin will be the first to tell you.
Hoper this helps!!!

This sounds like what might be pupps rash? Maybe a warm oatmeal bath would help?
My 365 Blog
i have it, too. my scalp, my legs, my back.
i've TRIED lotions, bio oil (but not in the bath, hmmm...), nothing is helping.
Vitamin E body butter from The Body Shop has been soothing my super itchy skin.
Particularly my boobs.
I've been lathering those puppies up like crazy!
