when did you start REALLY feeling uncomfortable?

I'm 29 weeks and still doing ok. Just some aches and pains, a little sciatica, a little uncomfortable when I sit or stand too long. But I was wondering in general how many weeks you were when you all really started feeling like you couldn't stand it (knowing you'd stand it as long as possible to keep babies cooking)?  Also, how tall are you? Just wondering if that has anything to do with it.

Re: when did you start REALLY feeling uncomfortable?

  • For me, it was 30-31 weeks, but mostly it's because of contractions and pressure.  I am 5'3''.  Before that I was doing fairly well but was tired a LOT!  It seems like everyone is different.  GL!

  • Around 31 weeks was my breaking point.

    I am 5'8.

GL and keep those babies cooking :)

  • 32 weeks.

    I am 5' 9".

Good luck and hang in there!

  • i remember around 27-29w suddenly my body was not as happy as it had been... but then i got used to that- and for me, it wasn't that horrible at all. Granted i had kidney stones and other horrible pain issues with my first pg - so i was comparing it to that- and so for me what was not bad at all might feel bad to someone else :)

I also stopped working at 27w and from then until 38w I really did take it easy... i only did one constructive thing/day at home, went out once/day to run an errand/get food... and then sat on the couch the rest of the day- that helped a lot.

  • 30 weeks, almost to the day. i am 5' 4"
  • i started really feeling pregnant at about 26 weeks, but I wasn't seriously uncomfortable until about 32 weeks.

  • Around 28 weeks was when I started having bad pelvic/hip pain and started realizing I could not comfortably shop on errands for even 10-15 minutes.  Just recently, I felt like I started getting used to the pain and was getting better at knowing my limitations.

Yesterday I fell out of my computer chair and that has been a setback in terms of pelvic pain because I fell straight on my bottom.  I've been in bed or laying down all weekend since. Now I am at the point that I'm really nervous how I'm going to make it to the end trying to take care of my boys and myself.

    I'm 5'10"  : )

  • About 30 weeks. I'm 5'1. Now I'm seriously miserable even with my Lay Z Boy.

  • My girls were born at 38 weeks and I never got to that point. I'm 5' 7". I was uncomfortable and I couldn't shop for more than 30-45 minutes. At 35 weeks I started having to lay on my side every once in awhile b/c BH, but other than that, I felt pretty good to be pg with twins. GL!
  • To be honest, I never reached a horrible breaking point. I got more and more uncomfortable, but I was still working full time until 10 hours before I was induced at 34w5d.

     Oh and I'm 5'11"

  • 28 weeks about and probably a bit earlier (hard to remember!) - now I am super uncomfortable. However, I am on Procardia for premature labor and on modified bedrest now. Walking is not comfortable for me at all and we actually just rented a wheelchair since my doc does not want me walking at all.

This is my second pregnancy (C with the first) and I am 5'5".

    GL!

  • I was reallly uncomfortable sleeping by about 32 weeks (partially b/c of carpal tunnel but also the side sleeping, etc) but never got really uncomfortable overall until week 35 & I delivered at 36.

    GL!

  • I am still going and I still don't feel really uncomfortable.  I definitely slowed down A LOT around 35 weeks, but as long as I take it easy I am okay.  And I am only 5'3 :)

  • thanks for all the answers. It's good to hear a lot of people never hit that point. I'm expecting it will come eventually, but crossing my fingers it isn't for a while.
