For all of us parents who think "oh, my LO isn't doing ABC like XYZ is"
At the end of the day - no child crosses the stage (graduation) with a paci in their mouth, scooting on their butt, or sucking their thumb.
Quit worrying about where your LO is in comparison to the books/other kiddos. They will get there on THEIR own time, not on OUR time. Just enjoy them as they are. There's plenty of time for them to get to walking/talking/etc. Remember that they came from not knowing how to do anything! It's amazing how fast they have learned to do what they are already, if you think about it.
This is not to say that if your child is extremely behind that there is no cause for concern. I understand that there may be instances where a child is developmentally delayed due to medical problems. I'm just trying to give some general advice here.
That is all. Carry on ![]()
