GD second time around ?

I just failed my 1 hour test and have to go for the three hour.  I have no hope that I'll pass.  My question however is does the doctor automatically make you do the twice weekly monitoring at the hospital again?  I can't bring DS and if DH leaves for training at the new year again I don't really have anyone to rely on to watch him for a few hours twice a week while this goes on.  I'm still working on who will watch him while at the hospital for delivery.

    You mean a non-stress test?  My ob only does them if you're on insulin, so hopefully you'll be diet controlled like I was.

    It all depends if your GD is under control or not from what I was told.   All I have to do is go every two weeks to see the dietician and she goes over my numbers.  

    (My co-worker had GD with her first and did not with her second so you may still be in the clear!)

    I was diet controlled last time but I had to go twice weekly for monitoring.  So, I guess I'll wait to see what the doc says on Tuesday.  And I don't put stock in passing the three hour test only because I know how I react to too much sugar in general which is something that's never in excess in my diet like those drinks.  Especially at one sitting.
