  We've had the best luck if we give it to our kids every day, but I admit that I keep forgetting to give it to them. I have found that if I decrease their dose the blowouts go away. It's definitely easier on their systems to get a smaller dose every day than a bigger dose every few days.

  The GI doctor told us to give it to him every day.  It took a while to get the dosage just right. 

  They recommended giving him 1 TBSP in the morning, mixed in a 4 oz bottle, and then a second dose at night.  Mixing with liquid makes it more effective. 

  We actually found that by just giving him 1 TBSP in the morning, that worked best and he went once a day.  Occasionally, he'd go 2-3 times in a day, but most days he'd go once.  Once in a blue moon, he wouldn't go, but we didn't worry about it. 

  We liked giving him 1 TBSP in the morning so that if we thought he needed another dose, we could give it to him in the afternoon.  It may take some tweaking to find out exactly how much Alex needs to make her regular, but without overdoing it!

  Ds hasn't had to take it, but he will get majorly constipated, and after a couple of days of straining, his pedi told us to give him some apple juice and that seems to work for us.
