I just ordered "An Innocent Abroad" by Ann Leary (Dennis Leary's wife). It is about the birth of their first son at 28 weeks while they were in London in the early 90s. A friend of mine with a 30 weeker recommended it to me and said it is a wonderful book and that she is totally relatable! I love the fact that her son is not college bound and doing wonderfully.
Re: Good book suggestion!
I read that book when my 30 weekers were about 6 months old. I LOVED it, and I fell in love with Denis. He's such a good guy.
I have to warn you ladies though - it dug up a lot of emotions that I thought I was ready to face and I wasn't. I was a wreck for awhile after reading that book.
And I have to admit that I totally looked up Ann Leary's website to get a current photo of her son. He is tall, handsome and so healthy looking. Such an inspiring story!
I want to watch the Gray's Anatomy episode about the 30-weeker. I normally don't watch that show!
