Jay went over to the neighbour's house since she was outside and he asked her if she had happened to have seen Shylo lately and she said she found him in her driveway yesterday and buried him in her yard.

My poor sweet baby kitty. Jay said she said it didn't look as though Shylo had been hit by a car, so I'm guessing old age caught up with him.

I'm going to have Jay go over and dig him up so I can have him cremated and put him with our other kitties who have left us.

thanks for all the dust, I guess it worked. We found him anyway. Sigh.

anyone's cat on insulin? I have about half a bottle and some needles if you need. and some DM cans too.

This. If it had been me I'd have been asking my neighbors if they were missing a cat before burying him in my own backyard. But at least she was kind enough to give your poor kitty a nice burial.

I'm really sorry!! It sucks to lose a pet - it's losing a family member.

amyliisa--the neighbour who found him is basically a cat hoarder. She has about 18 cats at any given time and she is older so she doesn't try to "fix" them. She probably thought it was one of hers so she buried him. When Jay asked if she'd seen one of our cats, she described Shylo and said she wasn't sure if he did belong to us, but knew she needed to give him a final resting place. That was nice of her. Also, she agreed that the cat situation had gotten out of hand and asked Jay to help her capture her cats so she can have them "fixed". I guess some good came out of this.

And yeah, I am glad to have found him and I'm glad I'll be able to have him cremated. It would have left a hole in me to not have him with his buddies.

sucky day. kind of a sucky week too.
