Yeah, that was fun. She dug around in there forever yesterday trying to rip it open a little.

I am 39 weeks and have to get to at least 1 cm to even qualify to attempt for a VBAC.

Mine has attempted to pull my cervix forward for the past two weeks, it was reeeeally painful. Do you think that's what yours was doing, too? I'm 1cm dilated and he didnt say he was 'ripping it open', just pulling on it to try and get it to come forward.

My doctor did this yesterday too. Got me from .5 a cm to 2 cm though, so hell, im all for it. Didn't really hurt either, guess I'm just lucky! I'm being induced next week most likely.

Aww! I was just wondering how you were doing and this was not the news I was hoping for! At the very least, I do hope that the tactic works for you as I know you would prefer the VBAC... Good luck!
