It's really difficult to ask this, but DH and I have been going through a few rough months and it has gotten to the point where I think we need some professional help. I finally got DH to agree to it last night and I don't want to waste time getting an appointment for us. So has anyone else seen a couples therapist or know of one to recommend? You can email me at escape1st@gmail.com if you'd rather not post it here.
Oh, and for those who are friends on Facebook w/ me, I'm not saying anything about this on there. DH doesn't want his family to know anything at this point.
Thanks, ladies.
Re: Couples therapist recommendation?
I also do not have any recommendations for you, and I am sorry about your situation. DH and I had a rough month a few months ago and it is very stressful! I did want to tell you though that the local Nest board had some recommendations a few weeks ago when this question was asked. You may want to check in with them to get some recos.
Good luck
Good for you to try counseling! There is nothing wrong with going through rough patches! And there is nothing wrong with sitting down with someone to talk about it. Dh and I hit some bad times when my grandma was really sick then past away. I did not know how to cope and DH really did not know how to cope with me and my pain. We saw Theresa Greenwood at Counseling Resource Associates. I tell you it was one of the best things I could have ever done and will go back if we need it. They are on Cinti-Columbus Rd.....really it is Rt 42 North of 275. Her number is 513-779-9955. For insurance she bills under Steven H., just forgot his last name, but he is the "Dr" in the office. Theresa is just a counselor. We liked her because she always pointed out things we both could do different. She never sided with just me of just DH.
I've heard good things about Cincinnati Counseling Services. They have offices in several different locations.
I know several people that go to Mason Family Counseling also and have heard great things about their counselors.
Good luck!
