My un-dying love for Gap Maternity

Okay, so I am getting really tired of cycling through the same pairs of maternity shirts and jeans week in and week out, but I absolutely LOVE the clothes I got from Gap!

I hated the Motherhood Maternity jeans I bought early in my pregnancy, but I'm having a love affair with my Gap maternity jeans. Oh, and Gap has some really cute long-sleeved shirts and sweaters that still cover my whole belly! [Insert rejoicing here]

What are your favorite maternity stores?

  • I LOVE my jeans from Old Navy, I got them when all of their jeans were only $20, now I wish I would have gotten 2 pair.

  • i have bought every kind of maternity jean known to man and Gap are my favorite.  and i love gap maternity tops.  they are by far my favorite, go to store.
  • Gap all the way!  It took me awhile to "break down" and go in there.  I wish I would have done it sooner.

The sale racks are filled with awesomeness.  While the sale prices are comparable to Motherhood, the quality greatly surpasses it.  And the jeans?  Totally worth it.

And, I don't have to compromise my style.

This kind of sounds like a radio ad.

I also bought Motherhood early on.  They look like mom jeans.

  • Alyssa--not to totally change the subject, but how are you feeling these days?  BP under control?  How did your pre-eclampsia tests come out?

Feeling overall pretty good (minus the normal pregnancy complaints- LOL). We just got the blood tests back from the lab and it looks like LO and I are in the clear for the time being!! We'll just be keeping a pretty close eye on the BP at our upcoming appointments but so far, so good! Big Smile

  • Because it's so hard for me to find jeans long enough when I'm not pregnant (36" inseam) I put off wearing maternity clothes for as long as possible. So, last week I had a meltdown. I finally outgrew my biggest pp jeans and was forced to begin the hunt for LONG maternity jeans. I ordered a pair online from Gap, not long enough, I bought a pair from Motherhood but the crotch sags so much it actually causes chaffing on the inside of my thighs. I walked into Pea in the pod and about fell over when I saw the $210 price tag on the jeans that were long enough for me. Luckily, the sales person was an angel and said that specific pair were on "sale" and discounted them to $150 (still a lot, but I'm desperate here!) and ever since I've been in love. So, for all the long legged mamas out there, Joe's Jeans are amazing!

  • I have a couple of Mat jeans from Kohls and absolutely loved them until a few weeks ago, now they are terribly uncomfortable so I've retired them for the most part. I literally live in sweatpants and leggings now. I kind of want to get some more jeans, but I have a hard time doing that since I'll only wear them for another month or so.

Target, Kohls, Gap, ON, and H&M are my regular stops when I need new mat clothes (and non mat. clothes too).

  • Is this when I should rub it in that I live very close to a HUGE clearance center (that has actually Gap, BR, ON, not "Factory Store" label) so I have worn exclusively Gap/ON maternity clothes for both kids, and I usually pay $5 for each piece? Smile
  • my Gap boot cut jeans got me through this pregnancy without going crazy haha! i went to Motherhood and cried because all of the jeans looked terrible on me.

i ordered the Gap jeans thinking they would be terrible too... and they look better on me than my regular jeans! love them!

    ?

    i heart you Gap?

  • I just got my baby shower dress from The Gap. All the dresses at Motherhood were made of such cheap, thin material. This baby is awesome, cute super cute, and hides all the little lumps I do not want to show off. <3
