4 month ckup results!

T had a great check up! She weighs 14 lbs 9 oz and is 23 inches long. She's short and stout like a tea pot! So she's I think it was 64% for weight and 7% for height. Dr. said she looked great and that he's not worried about her height because weight usually drives that. So he said what you see a lot is a big weight gain and then a spike in height. Dr. also gave us the go ahead to start trying some solids if we want. He said to just follow her lead and if she's ready we'll know it. I was surprised! I thought this didn't happen till 6 mo! He said they don't need it for nurishment...as they could really go the 1st yr on breastmilk but they need it for socialization skills.

So with the vaccines we only one last night because it was the combo shot which was DTaP, HIB, and Polio. Then she'll go back next month and get her Rotavirus and Pc ones! Ideally I would have liked to have not done a combo shot...as from what I've read the aluminum level is much higher than doing separate. But DH said he was NOT switching Peds just to get separate shots because we really like where we go. She really didn't make much of a noise at all when she got this one shot last night which was good and then next month it will just be a nurse visit with just one shot and one oral. She pretty much ate and slept most of the night after we got home, so it was so much better than when she got all 5 vaccines at her 2 month visit!!She ran a fever and was just really out of it after having all of those...she just wasn't herself at all!
