M is wearing 12 month sizes, but the waists are totally to big. the 6-9 waists are perfect for her, but to short. And when I put a "belt", it looks silly.
Where can I find decent jeans that are cut petite for her?
GAP and Childrens Place have jeans that have a elastic inside that adjusts the waist...DD 1 is super skinny so I buy those brands...I agree the belt looks silly and the buckle seems to cut into her tummy...
Don't have a girl, but skinny boys have the same issue...
Old Navy also sells adjustable waist jeans. Like the pp said, Gap does too. I also have a pair of Genuine Jeans from Target that are adjustable waist - although I have NEVER seen them at my Target - these pants are hand me down from a gf with a bigger/better Target. If you have a Heartstrings near you (usually in an outlet mall) they have really nice, expensive jeans that are adjustable waist. I've never paid full price ($40!), but in off season they mark them down to 70% off, so I buy DS's dress pants there in the spring.
Just check all the jeans out, cause every place sells non-adjustable too and I almost bought the wrong kind in Gap a few weeks back.
I had the same probably - DD needed 18 month for lenght, but 12 month for size. I bought a pair at Target that is made by Oshkosh, but has a different name - (maybe Genuine Kids?) that has an adjustable waist. They are cute and inexpensive, I think $10 - $12.
