2nd Trimester

New troubles eating dairy

Up until very recently, I've been eating at least three servings a day of dairy products. Ice cream and cheddar cheese were two of my biggest cravings during 1st tri. Since then I've leveled off a bit but still eat cereal with milk every morning and drink milk with dinner, plus the occasional yogurt or cheese.

Over the last week though, I've noticed my tummy is a little uneasy after I've consumed dairy. I haven't had morning sickness in 6 weeks, and it's not nearly as bad as morning sickness. But I have noticed a temporarily uneasy tummy immediately after eating dairy. I will be talking to my doctor later this week and will ask him then, but just curious if this is normal or a hint of some kind of dairy allergy in my baby. Has this happened to anyone else? TIA!

  • My doctor said the baby can make you temporarily lactose intolerant. I switched to Lactaid milk. I still eat cheese, but can't do ice cream, cream cheese, etc.
