How you make your food? Do you buy the veggies in cans and throw it in a blender or how do you do it? I know alot of the canned veggies contain a lot of salt so I'm not sure. Please advise
I definitely don't use canned food. Yuck. If I were going to do that, I'd just be better off buying Gerber baby food. I use fresh for the most part, or sometimes frozen.

Some I buy fresh, others I buy frozen. I get frozen peas and green beans, the rest is fresh.
With bananas I just mush them up and feed her. With sweet potatoes and squash I cook them and then mush them up. With the rest, I chop up small and steam them, then toss them in my food processor and puree. I'll sometimes need to add water (when I first made them for her I used formula) and then freeze.
When I made her purees, I bought fresh veggies. I steamed them & then threw them in the food processor. I then froze it in an ice cube tray. I would just pop a couple out each night for the following day. Veggies in a can are loaded with sodium & if you plan on using them, you would be better off using prepared baby food.
dont use canned... fresh is cheaper and you retain the nutrition that way.
last week I bought 1 large acorn squash and 3 sweet potatos
i baked them in the oven (as you would for an adult just without seasoning or butter of any kind) and then scoop the flesh out of each and pureed them in my blender. the SP required a touch of water to loosen them up a bit.
Pop the puree into ice cube trays and freeze overnight. Once frozen, I took the cubes out of the tray and save them in freezer bags. $4 dollars on 35 ounces of baby food. Not too shabby.
Re: dumb question-those who make their own food..

I do this too. Sometimes I use my hand stick blender too.

I buy organic fresh veggies/fruits and either bake, steam, or chop raw and throw them in the food processor. Then I freeze them using the cube method.
Just in case you don't already know this - if you do buy frozen, you can not cook them and then re-freeze them.
