I wanted to do ladybugs but I can't find anything I like. Her birthday is 12/20 so I thought maybe I would do something winter themed but I'm not really sure what. I would like to keep her birthday seperate from Christmas though. Any ideas?
We're not doing a full blown theme but her invites are snowflakes and really the only decorations I'm hanging up is snowflakes cut out of paper (ya know the ones that are "chained" togther". It's cheap and easy lol
We did a luau for DD1's birthday. It was awesome. Everyone came dressed for the occasion, she wore a grass skirt, hawaiian food, palm tree cake. Loved it.
We did a nursery rhyme theme for DD2's birthday. I didn't go as "all out" as I usually do for birthdays, but it was still nice. I had a cake topper made for her from etsy, and my sister made a cake covered in fondant. My mom made her dress from nursery rhyme fabric.
We're doing pink ladybugs. Have you checked Etsy? The store I bought her invites and some decorations from is called PartyPops. I customized this package:
Ladybugs shouldn't be too hard. I would look at etsy if anything to get ideas from the pictures. You may only need a few things with actual ladybugs on them, cake, invites, etc... and the rest you can do with reds and black everywhere.
I know its early but I'm planning away! No theme in mind but I'm sticking with pink and girly!
I'm not a big theme person, so I'm just doing pink & green. I made her invitations pink & green and my aunt is basing her cake off that. I'll get pink and green cups, napkins, balloons, etc.
Ladybugs here, too. It was decided before she was even born! lol I kept saying, "If it's a girl, maybe we'll call her Ellie-bug." We do, and she has a ladybug room and obviously must have a ladybug birthday!
We're doing Winter ONEderland, thanks to this board! Her b-day is Jan. 23.
My SIL did this for my niece (Jan. 10): it was adorable! Paper placemats in the shape of snowflakes, ice blue/silver christmas ornaments in balls, garlands...she even had a little snowflake tiara for my niece. It was really cute.
Monkeys. I think he's going to have a family party and a separate kids party. If I do that the kids party will be monkey's and the adult party will have no theme.
Re: What theme are you using for LO's fist birthday party?

Monkeys with the colors brown, turquoise, and green.
It's on Sunday... I still am in shock.
I know it is early to plan, but I think we are doing this too. I like to look early to find the best prices on things.
