She can reproduce, but i can't?

I need to vent a minute.  I am at work and this little boy just got an eye exam.  He mom is rude and can't control the other kid that she has.

He comes out to choose glasses, and she can't be bothered because she needs to go outside and smoke a cigarrette and talk on her cell phone.  She doesn't care what he picks...or the results of the exam.

Way to go MOM--you suck and your mom license should be taken away!!!!  IF is just not fair sometimes!

    You should direct him toward the most expensive set of frames you can find!

    Doesn't that suck!  I work with some very questionable parents in the schools and they all seem to have many children that are all going to have crappy childhoods and I always think why them and not me!

    I see stuff like that every day (I work in a hospital in a not so great part of town). It's one of the few things I haven't been able to let go of because everywhere i turn it's a situation like that. DH and i have a couple we are sort of friends with (not close) and they had a daughter a few years ago and didn't find out the sex when she was pg. When she was born healthy the husband was so disgusted that it wasn't a boy that he acted liek an arse and made no attempt to hide the fact that he was upset. They are not pg again and found out this time (the wife said she couldn't take her husband's disappointment if it was another girl so she wanted to find out so he'd have time to get used to the idea). They are having a boy this time. geez.
