Hi girls, I don't really have an update to what I said on Sunday night but wanted to say I appreciate those asking about me and D. I had debated all weekend about whether or not to even post anything but figured D could use all the prayers he could get so that's why I posted on SUnday
I don't want to go into too much detail about what we are dealing with because basically I'm not ready to accept what one dr. told me and we are going to a new pediactirc neuroligist tomorrow which I'm sure which inclue a new slew of tests so I probably won't know anything for awhile. IF he does have the disorder that the first neuroseurgen believes I will just say that my poor baby (and his mom ) will have a a very tough road ahead
And I am trying to stay off teh computer because I have basically been making myself sick (literally) googlinga and researching and I know it's not healthy.
ON a brighter note the boys had their 9 month appt. today and they are both on the growth chart 20% and 30% for everything for their ACTUAL age not adjusted which I think is pretty damn good . They are both 18 lbs 8 oz. They are still behind a little developmentally but are receiving therapy so that should help. The pedi did think going to a 2nd neuroligist is a great idea.
Thanks again ladies you are the best
Re: Not really an update..
After a loss at 13wks and years dealing with IF and failed treatments (3 failed IUI and 1 failed IVF), we have been blessed with DS (surprise BFP) and now his little sister (2nd round of clomid and TI) on her way.
I will be praying you get good news from your second opinion and that the other pedi was wrong..whatever the case..we are here for you and you will get through this.we are all praying very hard for your family...(((((hugs))))
Ditto.
Yay for their 9 month appt. going well!!
You and D will continue to be in my thoughts & prayers.
Oh, Lisa. I wish I could reach through this screen and hug you!!
You're right...stay away from Dr Google. I don't know what you're dealing with here, but if there's anything I can do to help, PM me. I am a Senior MRI Technologist and my current employment is with both Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston (we cover the MGH for Children also - I've spent years doing pediatric sedation/anesthesia MRI's and have seen SO much, both good and bad) and with Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence. I can help get you some second opinion names if you're interested or willing to drive. NJ isn't that far!
GL and PLEASE know we're here for you! Whatever it is that you need...
You GO Momma bear!
I'm sure this is terrifying but I'm so glad D has a Momma like you in his corner taking on the world to find answers for him!
Congrats on a great 9 month appt for both boys!!
Keep us updated as you feel comfy and we'll just keep on praying for you guys!!!
