Just curious, if your doctor's even looked at them or thought that they had validity. I'm going to my OB/GYN for help TTC tomorrow and am planning on giving the past 6 months in charts, including the one from my m/c.
I figured as much proof as I can show her as I want to leave there with a plan tomorrow. Thanks for sharing, as always!
Re: If you brought your FF charts in to your OB/GYN, come in, please!
Yup I do! My OB is the one who got me started charting..I always bring them in...he usually looks at them for a couple min and tells me what he thinks..last time he said my O looks nice and strong but a little later then he would like...
I think put them in your purse and it couldn't hurt to show your doc...
I brought my charts in to my first apt. meeting with my new doctor. I kinda felt like a dork and was worried she would poo-poo them.
She actually spent several minutes reviewing them and made a few comment like, "wow, you have a really low Pre-O temp.... O a bit earlier than usual but I don't see this as a problem, etc." It was important for me that she saw the validity of charting and that we had the same philosophy to TTC, preg, and delivery.
BRING THE CHARTS!!! If you're not comfortable with the drs. reaction you may not be comfortable with their approach to fertility challenges, etc.
I hope you don't mind me responding...
I went in to see a new OB when it had been 9 months TTCAL with no luck. I brought in about 4 months of charts and she definitely looked them over. She confirmed what I was suspecting, that I could have possibly had low progesterone, causing a short LP. So she ordered that I get tested at 7 dpo and we talked about options and when we would start further testing and what we would start with. She was glad that I had kept good charts, but encouraged me to take a break from that for a few months and "just relax," which I thought was stupid, but apparently worked.
I was glad that I brought them in to discuss my options with her. And it made me feel comfortable with her and her knowledge. But I was nervous too, just like you. Take them in your purse at least and just tell them you brought them if they want to see them. Good luck!
