I just had my CD11 apt for bloodwork and U/S. I'll know my estrogen later today when they call. My lining looked great (a 12.5!) but I only had 1 large follicle, on the left side. It measured 35 mm. I thought that was a great reaction to the small increase in medicine. However, now I'm worrying that it might be too large/too mature to ovulate. Is that possible? Can eggs get too large that they will not ovulate or the doctor will call off the procedure?
I'm also really really bummed that this is the 4th cycle that my right side has not produced anything. When the office calls this afternoon, I'm going to ask to speak to my nurse about my worries of the right side along with getting started on possible IVF cycles.
Sorry there's a lot of info in that post!
Re: Is there such a thing as too large of a follicle?
I don't know about the size being too large but I only ovulate on the right side and I asked about it on Sunday. They said it was fine, that sometimes one side dominates more than the other and not to worry.
Do you know when you'll have your IUI?

18-21mm is what I've been told as well (and the past 3 cycles I've ranged from 21-24mm). We increased my FSH shot by 1/2 (was 1 75mcg shot, 37.5mcg 3X = 112.5mcg). I was excited that the small increase worked so well (grew another 10mm!) but of course I'm worried now!
If the doctor says the size is fine today we'll do the IUI tomorrow morning. I prepared and booked a 7:15 drop off for DH and an 8:30 IUI for me.

I really hate to be a debbie downer, but 35mm sounds too big to me. Was anyone worried at the follie check? It sounds like it could be a cyst. Did you have a cd3 u/s?
Also, when I had a cyst on my right side, and after it went away, I had no follies on my right side for the cycle after that, and even this cycle, the follies never got over 13mm.
Thanks ladies, its okay for the dose of reality! The nurse that did the u/s today didn't seem concerned about the size.
I had a CD 3 u/s and everything looked fine -- said both sides were quiet like they should be.
I'm preparing myself to hear that we have to sit out this cycle...

I had a tiny cyst on my left side the past two cycles (always around 2-6mm). I wonder if it just mutated into the 35mm mammoth!
We'll see... the doctor usually calls around 2pm.
