When do you typically get a 3d ultrasound?

I think I've heard before that there is a range of weeks that it is best to get this type of ultrasound. Do you know when that is?

And when did you or will you get your 3d ultrasound?

Just curious :-)

i had one at 25 weeks, then a follow-up at 30. you're at an ideal time for one, baby isn't too big yet!

I've heard it's best to get them from 27-30 weeks. I didn't get one though, so I don't know for sure.

I got 3D images from my regular OB scans at 8 and 20 weeks. We did an elective one at 24 weeks though. I think the recommended range is 24-32 weeks.

I got mine at 35 wks. They measure the fluid levels & baby's size.

I went for mine at 30 weeks and again at 31 b/c LO wasn't cooperating during the 1st one. They say between like 28 weeks and 32 weeks is the best time b/c LO isn't too big where they can't move around. GL! I would call and make one ASAP!

My OB's office offers them and recommends that you get it done between 25 and 28 weeks.

I didn't get one, but I had a regular u/s at 33 weeks, and he was already so big that we could only see one body part at a time.

At 9 wks and 18wks... Both times I got an ultrasound, it was the regular one then they switched to 3/4D

My office does a 3D u/s everytime we have had an u/s but it doesnt turn out as well until there's some fat on your baby and you are closer to your due date. I'll have on in a week and 1/2 and will be almost 36 weeks.

My office said 28-32. I had mine done at 31 weeks.

The Phillips training center close to us likes their 'models' to come in between 24-28 weeks.

I got mine @ 31 weeks but wish I waited until 34. In the photo album at the ultrasound place all the babies @ 34 weeks had opened their eyes and were just too precious! (if DH wins a big hand in Texas Hold 'Em b4 then we're gonna go back @ 34 weeks)

Oh and I got mine done at a place called Stork Vision.
