    DH and I are taking a 10 day road trip from Seattle to Southern CA. We leave on the 20th. I'm from Northern CA, so we'll be stopping through the Bay Area and then will be heading to Huntington Beach staying with some good friends of ours. They live 4 blocks from the beach! YAY!! Then on to Disneyland for Thanksgiving, and Cypress for DH's family reunion. Should be a fun trip. Where should we eat in Huntington Beach?? What do you think the weather is going to be like?? I'm in Seattle where the rainy season has officially begun. I'm thrilled to get out in some sunshine again. :)

    That sounds fantastic!  The weather should be fine, it's been sunny and low to mid 70's here for a while.  I love the fall because it's usually crisp and cool in the morning, but it warms up nicely by afternoon.  

    I live 4 blocks from the beach, too!  I wonder if we're neighbors ;)  

     Disneyland should be fun, but crowded.  Get there early!  (I worked there for 3 years, so I have some tips about that place as well)

    There's tons of great places to eat...I would head down to Main St and take your pick.  They opened up a sushi place there called Ra, and if you're there on a weeknight, they have great happy hour deals!  Tuesday night is fun for Main St because they block of traffic and have a farmer's market.

     You guys are going to have a great time!  We're doing a road trip up to Monterey over Christmas break...it's such a pretty drive!

    Oh yeah the 101 drive between Monterey and So. Cal is gorgeous. I had an ex whoh went to Pepperdine while I was living in the Bay Area, I always took the 101 when I went down to visit him.

    Good to know about Disneyland. We're looking forward to it. We were going to to California Disney on Wed and then Disneyland on Thanksgiving (I'm pretty sure I'll be knocking small children down just so I can get up front for the parade). ;)
