What did you feed your baby after you stopped breastfeeding? Milk or water since she was old enough.
I gave up after 2 weeks. DS wasn't latching well, he was always hungry, and I'm not pleasant to be around when I don't get enough sleep. We supplemented with bottles a bit, then switched over entirely to Similac (regular). DS still ate like a maniac (the whole longer digestion with bottles thing was BS). Everybody was happy and healthy in the end. DH really enjoyed being able to take a greater role once we went to bottle feeding, and I appreciated the ability to get an entire night's sleep every other night!
I'll probably breastfeed in the beginning next time around, with no plans to do it for very long. It just didn't work for our family, and I don't think it will this time around either.
about 7wks, my milk was not producing enough.

Similac "blue can" (as I called it) LOL
1) I breastfed my 1st for 15 months...stopped when PG with DD. I breastfed my 2nd for 16 months.
2) I occasionally used bottles so that I had a little more freedom.
3) Well they were toddlers, so they ate everything, just cut up into small pieces.

I BF-ed and fed her BM in a bottle
Soy formula.?
1. 8wks....I didn't produce. I gave up because he was so angry and upset when I BF because he wasn't getting anything. After BFing and then getting a bottle, I would pump.......then start that same routine all over again. Not fun.
2. He got Similac right away at the hospital because he lost 1 lb before the nurses realized he wasn't getting ANYTHING from me.
So yes, he got bottles.
3. We went from Similac to whole milk.

Did you only breastfeed, or did you use bottles as well? We used bottles when DS was in daycare, from 3 months on, and whenever I was away from DS when it was time to eat.

1. DS was 13 months old when I weaned him.
2. Mostly BF, pumped and used bottles occasionally
3. He was eating "real" food by then, and he started to drink whole milk in a sippy cup for a drink.
1. 10 months
2. I had to pump since I worked so she took the bottle with my milk at daycare
3. Formula for a short time, can't remember which kind, it's been 11 years

DS - sept 2012

for the first 7 months, only breastfed. for 7-12 months both
