I totally lucked out in Borders.
While searching for books for the 8 year old niece there was a 9 year old girl reading books. I asked what her favorite kind were right now and she said the American Girl books. They aren't about the American Girl dolls but about just young girl stuff. So I bought a few of those! Thanks random 9 year old girl!
