3rd Trimester

Its even uncomfortable to bend over to put my undies on...

DH and I have been cleaning all morning, and I just hopped in the shower to clean up.  I went to put my undies on and I realized it was very uncomfortable to bend over to step in them and pull them up.  And to add insult to injury I had to finally retire my cute VS undies and buy some granny style panties because my cute ones just weren't cutting it any more.  Embarrassed

I finally got around today and packed my bag for the hospital.  I need a pair of slippers, though.  And I need to pack my LO's diaper bag with his outfit (s) for the hospital.

I know that I am only 37 wks pregnant...but I'm so ready for my LO to make his way OUT. *sigh* Sleep

Re: Its even uncomfortable to bend over to put my undies on...

  • I'm still OK with bending over for the most part but my either my SI joint is out of whack or I'm getting sciatica badly sometimes (I think it's the latter b/c I don't feel locked up like I do when it's out of joint), and I can't stand on my left leg to put my right leg in my pants/undies/what-have-you.

  • Putting on shoes, panties, socks, shoot even pants are all a challenge now.

  • Ok now I am scared... I am only thirty weeks and having problems with getting the panties on...how much worse will this get?

  • Oh honey...let me tell you!!! I have gone to bed before with no panties on because after I got out of the shower it took so much effort to bend over and actually put them on. Sad I know, but it's the truthSad
  • I have the issue all the time now...it's so uncomfortable. I have to literally sit on the bed to do it.

As far as socks, shoes, etc....DH has to help me with those a majority of the time. I can physically do it...but it takes forever and it's a huge struggle.

  • I hate this- I also get it sometimes when I just get up and try to move around kinda quick- I know it is not RLP cause man I get that too and this is a totally different feeling.  I started getting this about a week ago and I am not a fan of it- I am going to ask the dr if one of those support bands is in order cause I am carrying crazy low and I think that is half the problem.

This, exactly. Sometimes DH forgets that it's nice of him to help, and he hears me huffing and puffing. He runs to help. I've mastered the panties thing. I sit on the edge of the bed and get one toe in one side, then hold onto the panties with one toe and the opposite hand. That opens the legs of the panties for a foot. (Hope that made sense.)
