I'm having some friends over tomorrow.
I plan to do an informal make your own taco bar.
I want to do fish tacos. Trader Joe's sells this pre-marinated mahi mahi that I just love. I can grill it and chop it up.
I personally think mahi mahi is a light white fish that doesn't taste fishy.
But should I play it safe and just do chicken? Boring ;-P but that's the safe choice, I know.
For the vegetarians I will have black beans for the tacos too.
Thanks!
Re: Taco Bar - WDYT?
Mmmmmm. I'm hungry. ::goes to make refried bean tacos::
Oh, btw, sounds yummy! People who don't want fish can have beans.

I think TJ's has tilapia that might work nicely for the tacos, too. I would only be concerned about how long the fish will be sitting out if you're just going to have everything set up & have people wander up to it.
I would offer chicken too though, unless you know all your guests LOVE fish. I know a lot of people who are total carnivores but are creeped out by eating fish. I think I've even seen like either pre-shredded or pre-cut strips of seasoned chicken at TJ's too.
