Normal swelling from IV fluids?

I was in L&D last night for 7 hours (I was having consistent contractions but I wasn't progressing), and had about a bag and a half of IV fluids administered.

This morning I'm up 2.5 lbs on the scale, which I know is normal, but it seems like I'm retaining all of that in my thighs. Seriously they are enormous today. Is this pretty common? I don't remember this happening with my other 2 labors.

Yep, sounds normal to me. I was so upset and embarrased when I left the hospital weighing more than when I went in (after delivering a 7lb baby)! I was hooked to IVs for 3 days.

My face looked a little puffy but went away overnight - are you still swelled?

My thighs are definately still swollen, but it's been less than 24 hours since they let me go home.
