I finally have a sitter!

DD just started sitting really well on her own.  Sometimes though when she's playing, I feel like I still need to be close to her when she's sitting because if she gets too excited she'll flail herself backwards.  Do your LO's do this?  I'm scared she'll go back too fast and bump her head on the ground.  When could your LO sit so well you didn't feel the need to contantly be within 6 inches of them?  Thanks.

    Congrats!!  For about a week, it was constant supervision.  The stronger she got the more I was comfortable not watching her like a hawk.  My baby and my friend's baby both bonked their heads a few times when they first started sitting.  1.5 months later and she is a pro.  She will still topple though if she reaches too far for a toy or if she loses her focus entirely.
