DVD player in the car

P has always been a good traveler--heck we moved 10 days after she was born. We normally travel during naps/bedtime, but this weekend we can't. I have a travel DVD player that I was thinking about hooking up for her. Do you have one in your car? Does LO like it? Guess I need a kids DVD, right, lol?

    I would. We do this for Colbi and started around that age. Her favorites were those Disney sing a long movies.

    How much time do you spend in your car? I could understand it for really long trips since there is only so much entetertaining you can do in a car but for just regular everyday travel I don't see the point.  Kids learned to entertain themselves in cars long before these were invented.

    I've never played a DVD for my kids in the car (even though the van is equipped).  But we never travel for more than 4 hours at a time.

    Pick something not too obnoxious.  You may be listening to it over and over again!

    LOL, its all good!! I've scolded my FIL for putting it on for everytime he takes her out. Our trip is only going to be 3 hours, but she has been really fussy in the carseat lately. My sister said to not put it on right away though. Maybe I'll hook it up and use it if we really need it.

    Oh and thanks to PP for the Disney sing-a-longs suggestions. I'm thinking she has outgrown the Einstein DVDs.
