Old Wives Tales for TTC

It's so slow at work today... so I'm extra chatty! Big Smile

What funny Old wive tales have people told you who know you're ttc?  One of my friends said to put my legs up against the wall after bding so gravity could help out the spermies.  (I miss confess... I did try it this morning! DH thought I was insane).

    I have been told about propping up to help the sperm get where they're supposed to be.  I used to do it, but not anymore.  Someone on here said they are well on their way before DH even pulls out, so I quit wasting time on that one...

    That's what I thought too (I remember that post about the pulling out and spillage LOL).  I just figured... what do I have to lose (besides looking silly).

    That isn't an old wives tale actually.  You should put your legs up in the air (not necessarily up on the wall) with a pillow under your hips for 20-30 minutes after sex.  This way gravity works in your favor, other than just getting up after sex.  I've read it isn't 100% medically certain that it helps, but all medical professionals (apparently) agree that it can't hurt and most of them recommend it.

    I've only gotten the"It will happen soon!"  "DOn't think about it and it will happen!"  That has gotten on my last nerve!  But, that is too funny!  DH thinks I'm crazy when I prop a pillow under my hips!
