If you've made your own moby, how much did the fabric cost? I am on a MAJOR budget being on maternity leave and not getting paid. I am having a hard time justifying purchasing the real thing but I would really love one!

$20 for the fabric which yields 2 ... MUCH cheaper and soooooo worth it.

$12.50 for 3.5 yards of a cotton poly blend fabric to make my sling but its the same material I am going to use for my wrap. I think 4.5 yards is standard, though.

i bought 5 yards of cheap fleece because it gets really cold here and it only cost me $9. Im going back tonight to get a thinner fabric to wear around the house... if you go to walmart they usually have a huge selection of discount fabrics (like $1.50 a yard)

$12. i got 6 yards at walmart @ $2 a yard.. i made two our of it, but honestly i could have easily gotten 3 out of it bc i have to fold mine in half to get it around me.

$10 for 5 yards of stretch knit jersey fabric from the Joann's clearance racks during one of their 50% off red tag/clearance price sales last month.

I got 5 yards for 10 bucks at Walmart...its a nice dark grey knit jersey!
