- He is pulling on his ears
- chewing on his finger MORE then usual
- drooling more then usual
- sucking in on him bottom lip
- sometimes running a fever of about 100 (a little less)
- fussy
- stopped STTN
- feels better when I give him Tylenol (by feels better I mean STTN and stops fussing)
Is he teething? I don't see tooth buds.

Re: I think my LO is teething but has no tooth buds so does this sound familar?
this is how DS acted last week. i ignored for it thinking it was teething, it got worse and it turned out he had a severe ear infection. be sure it is not that.
sometimes they will chew a bit more to help relieve the pressure in their ears.
generally when LO is teething you will feel the teeth just under the gums.
You should look up common myths about teething. The fever + pulling on ear + stopped STTN makes me think infection, cold, ear infection.
DS has been teething (and by teething I mean actually cutting a tooth through with two others next to it coming up as well).
He never pulled on his ear, no fever, he stopped chewing on his hands (which has been doing for the past 3 months) - I assume because it hurts too much (he winces), he stopped STTN (also has a cold) and no medication (motrin nor tylenol) helps him.
He was chewing on his bottom lip, super drooling for along time but he didn't stop STTN until he started to cut the tooth.
