I feel like a jackass

I tested at 8DPO.  It's negative.  I feel like I just cheated myself out of pretending I had a chance over the next week.  I've never tested that early, wtf is wrong with me?

    Still so early. Give it a couple of days. I think you still have a chance :)

    I think we all get so excited, it's hard not to test early. At 8 DPO, a BFN means very little, IMO. Keep your hopes up.

    You still have a chance. You may have only implanted at 6dpo. Test again on the weekend

    Waiting is the bad and BFN is worse. We all get excited and do something stupid. You aren't out yet. Good luck on the BFP for a later day.

    Its ok. I have an unbelieveable urge to POAS and im only 7dpo, I am holding out though, trying to make it to saturday or sunday.

    No one can sit here and tell you that it's easy to wait- but testing too early will most likely lead to disappointment.  Try not to call it a day yet- like PP said- it's so early!!  You never know- so still be positive- until AF shows you're still in the game!!

    Don't feel too badly.

    I tested yesterday at 8 DPO.  And today at 9 DPO.  And get this - here's the worse part.  For the study I'm in, I have to use the CBFM every day through most of my cycle.  .  .  so I use that *ANYWAY*.  The stick's LH line would pick up HCG (for full explanation see peeonastick.com's OPK as HPT).  So I used my CBFM, saw the stick, SAW that there was no darkness on the LH surge line, and STILL WASTED A PREGNANCY TEST.

    Seriously.  I'm too smart a woman to be so dumb.
