Sometimes, especially if you are newly coming off BCP, you may not O at all. And sometimes, you will O, but your temps may be too erratic or your other fertility signs don't match up, and FF will have trouble declaring an O date. That is why some charts have dotted CH.
I think it refers to the Cross Hairs that show when you're expected to ovulate. --but I'm new too.. maybe someone can confirm?
No, you only get cross hairs once FF can confirm probable ovulation based on a consistent (3 day) rise in temperatures. In other words, you won't get cross hairs until after the fact.
