We have all done things that while not dangerous, makes you feel a little guilty. Come on, you all know that you have done it. So lets share those confessions. As long as it is nothing illegal or nothing that has hurt anyone lets share! Also this is a flame free post so we can all feel free to share openly.
Re: Pregnancy/Mommy Confessions. Fess up everyone!!
I am not above letting my DD watch a little dora while I get a minute to relax.
I did drink the occasional glass of wine...heck my dr told me to when I was stuck in prodromal labor. He said it may help stop the contractions.
2 infertiles' journey to 2 pink lines (and a baby girl)
"our IF story"
I dropped him in the swing this morning even though I know he gets bored, so I could exercise. He started crying after about 15 mins and I moved him to the couch and propped him up so I could finish. So much for being a part of the AP board!
Seriously, I felt SO bad when he cried that I started crying too. No idea how I'm ever going to exercise on a regular basis.
I have a can of coke or Dr. Pepper a few times a week (I know, not really that terrible). I also have a weakness for sandwiches when I'm pregnant for some reason -- and I don't always heat the meat, especially if it is from a reputable place.
As for mommy confession, sometimes I pretend to be asleep if Ava wakes up at night so that DH will get up with her instead (hey -- I'm growing two babies -- I need my sleep!). I also have to admit that I have put on Elmo's world just to give myself a break before!
I've done this (specifically, day we closed on our house a couple weeks ago, I don't think he was changed from about 7 am to 2 pm). I felt AWFUL!
I, too, was a gestational diabetic. I was very diet controlled (never had a high reading), but after I tested well with pancakes and the doctor took me off testing 4 times a day, I started adding syrup on my pancakes. I don't use a lot, but I'm sure it spiked my blood sugar. That was my daily breakfast.
I sometimes pretend that I haven't noticed that DD is wet and then have to get up for something (i.e. handing her off to DH) so he'll have to change her diaper. I never ever do it when I'm the only one home with him, but I figure it can't hurt while he's here, right?
I'm sure there's more - I'm not a perfect mom. But I can't think of any right now.
This last week I have been really relaxed about my GD. I have been testing but not exactly when I am suppose to test.

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
I eat cold deli meat, soft cheeses, cooked sushi, drink a cup of caffiene daily, and use Splenda. And don?t even think twice!
(I once tried to tell someone who commented about my cheese-eating about the pasturized vs. unpasturized thing, but now I just say, "You know, I really have a lot bigger things to worry about!")
AND! Friday night I ate an ice cube out of DH's margarita
I eat a ridiculous amount of junk food...I love fast food and sweets and rarely ever do I attempt NOT to eat junk food when I'm craving it...
Tonight we are having a home cooked meal...and I would so much rather have a Big Mac...
I've gained 18.5 lbs so far, so I guess the junk food agrees with me, lol.
