How was your halloween?

Just wondering how everyone's Halloween was :)

Most of the good stuff seemed to be last weekend for us.  Trick-or-treat street, and a party at the local (really nice) fire house.

This weekend we did trick or treat street at the mall and DD enjoyed some of the good weather on Sat.  She's going to have a hard time giving up her costume - she loved Halloween!  We'll have to get her started on Xmas stuff I guess.

  • Ous was pretty low key...not many trick or treaters.  We had three different outfits that people gave Evan, so we went through several wardrobe changes.

But...I have been an emotional mess the whole weekend, and I hope that I feel better soon, because it just sucks...

  • Ours was very boring.  No Trick-or-Treaters out here in the country.  DH slept on the couch and I watched TV.  I'm looking forward to next year with our LO...much more fun!

mrsoc: I hope you feel better soon!  Sorry you are down =(

  • Ours started off quiet.  We get no trick or treaters since we are in an apartment.  DH went and got us a french silk pie and opened up a bottle of wine.  Of course once we sat down to relax, Abby woke up and was up having a melt down for over an hour.  She did eventually calm down and sat up with us

  • Ours was crazy and fun like always..

In the morning, we went to the new walmart. this was totally against my better judgement, because I NEVER go to walmart on a saturday, let alone the weekend the brand new one opens..It was super hectic.. and we spent too much $.. But it IS a really nice store.. I will have to go back in the middle of the night some time soon.

Then we came home, ILs came over for a bit, and then we handed out candy to our hundreds of TorTers (somewhere between 400-500 this year, I think a new record).. and we took Eve TorTing to a few houses.  Eve actaully slept through most of the TorTing though..

  • Ours was lowkey, but fun. Ian and I stayed home on Friday - turns out he had an ear infection. Saturday was quiet. He took a nice long nap, then trick-or-treaters started coming around our neighborhood around 3pm. He was so excited to all the other kids walking around that he didn't mind getting into his costume (even the hood)! We walked around our cul-de-sac, and got home just in time to beat the rain. We then went to my parents so they could see him in his costume and have dinner. I think he really enjoyed himself. Can't wait to see what he's like next year!

  • We had a nice time.  This was Tyler's first year Trick-or-Treating.  We rehearsed it over and over, but he still said "I want some candy, Please" a couple times.
  • it was low key but fun- we went to a small house party and saw some couples we havent seen in a while- it was fun to catch up...

we played games- lots of food- watched the baseball game..we got home super late (like 230)...and slept in today...all in all- good times and my belly paint held up and didnt fade
