Paper lanterns ?

Where have you found them for a good price?

How exactly do they work- you buy the lantern and then a cord kit for each lantern...do the cord kits attach directly to the ceiling...and then the other end plugs into an outlet? If the cords come out of both ends doesn't this look funny?

I feel stupid asking this but I've never used them before.

  • Also--for those of you who have used them in your nursery what sizes have you used?

I'm thinking (after advice from other bumpies) of putting them in a corner behind the crib (its on a diagnonal between 2 windows).

  • I just ordered three of them from the Paper Lantern Store. I think I got 18" ones and then I got a cord kit that has three light bulb on it so I only have one cord for all of them. The cord kit was from Luna Bazaar because the Paper Lantern Store didn't have them until mid-December. I got the criss-cross paper kind.

  • I have a grouping that ranges in size from 18 inches to 8 inches...I'm only using a light kit inside 1 of them as a "low level" light to use for diaper changing at night etc. I bought my light piece at Ikea for about $4, but the paperlanternstore has them as well. Mine are straight lines, round, satern shaped, and oblong.
