I would like a natural childbirth. I would love to deliver in a nice birthing center and be able to be in water during labor(not waterbirth). I need help finding either a midwife or an OB that will follow my wishes and delivers in a great place. I am willing to travel a little as I am sure there is nothing in Ocean County. I have no clues so far. Thank you!
Re: I live in Ocean County.Looking for an good midwife or OB and a hospital with a great birthing center
When I was looking for a birthing center the only ones I saw were in DE and PA (in the Philly burbs). For some reason I think there are insurance issues w/birth centers that aren't affiliated w/a hospital and thats why I couldn't find any.
It also doesn't hurt to check with hospitals. I delivered at Kennedy in Turnersville w/a midwife and they have a water birth room there -- I didn't use it because I wanted an epi, but it was an option. Maybe a hospital near you will be med-free delivery friendly?
You could also consider a home birth if a hospital doesn't have what you want.
Sorry I don't have more info -- good luck!
