I love it when I get this response... when I explain how my hands feel like they are on fire, numb fingers etc. etc. and people are like "oh, i've never heard of that as a problem" and i'm sure that that is what they "mean" but it sounds more like "oh, it sounds like you're making that up / its all in your head" etc. etc.

I had it when I was pregnant with DS#1 and people IRL always treated me like I was making it up when I would say something about it. I had carpal tunnel pretty bad too. From what I read here and talking to my doctor, it's a fairly common thing in pregnancy. It's a pain in the butt, though!
It was completely gone for me after about a week post-partum. I haven't had any symptoms since then (knock on wood).
